Business Analyst with Medicaid experience

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a Connecticut State Office project. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of Business Analyst experience and strong Medicaid domain knowledge. Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements
- Work closely with business users, stakeholders, and technical teams to define project scope and objectives
- Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements
- Prepare business requirement documents, process flows, use cases, and gap analysis
- Support testing activities including UAT, defect tracking, and validation of requirements
- Facilitate meetings, discussions, and status updates with stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with Medicaid policies, regulations, and state requirements
- Assist in process improvement and support implementation activities
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Strong experience in Medicaid projects/programs
- Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a government or public sector environment is preferred
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment after initial onsite onboarding
Additional Information:
- Candidate must be available to work onsite for the first 2 days for mandatory security training and laptop issuance
- After the initial onsite requirement, this position will be remote/work from home
