We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Coding Auditor II to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting audits of medical records to ensure accurate coding and compliance with coding guidelines. Your expertise and attention to detail will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our coding practices. We are looking for someone who is not only knowledgeable in coding regulations and guidelines, but also possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills. Conduct audits of medical records to ensure accurate coding and compliance with coding guidelines. Review medical records for completeness and accuracy of documentation. Identify and report any coding errors or discrepancies. Communicate audit findings to coding staff and provide feedback on areas of improvement. Collaborate with coding team to develop and implement corrective action plans as needed. Stay up-to-date on coding regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance. Train and educate coding staff on coding updates and changes. Assist in developing and maintaining coding policies and procedures. Work with providers and other healthcare professionals to resolve coding-related issues. Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve coding discrepancies. Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance when handling sensitive medical information. Participate in departmental meetings and provide input on coding-related matters. Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all coding audits. Adhere to productivity and quality standards set by the organization. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper coding and billing processes are followed. Assist with special projects and initiatives related to coding and compliance. Mentor and train new team members as needed. Uphold the values and mission of Kaiser Permanente in all interactions.
