MuleSoft Platform Admin/Engineer (AWS GovCloud)

Successful candidates will leverage deep technical expertise to architect, install, and maintain the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform within AWS GovCloud environments. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of high-availability enterprise applications, ensuring they meet rigorous DoD and government security standards. The ideal candidate is an expert in modern infrastructure, specifically Kubernetes and microservices, and can bridge the gap between traditional integration and cloud-native orchestration. Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of direct experience in the administration and engineering of the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
  • 7+ years of total experience supporting enterprise-class applications in a significant engineering role.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing MuleSoft Anypoint Runtime Fabric (RTF) on AWS (preferably GovCloud) is required.
  • Expertise in Container Orchestration: Deep knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker for managing microservices at scale.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate AWS GovCloud environments.
  • Security: Active Security+ Certification and experience hardening environments to meet STIG/FedRAMP compliance.
  • Technical Stack: Strong proficiency with REST/SOAP, RAML, OpenAPI, and managing Standard/Custom MuleSoft Connectors.
  • Security+ Certification (Desired)

Typical Duties/Abilities:

  • Installation/Administration of the MuleSoft AnyPoint Platform within AWS GovCloud
  • Setup and support a highly available MuleSoft AnyPoint Platform with clustering and load balancing.
  • Troubleshooting and performance tuning of MuleSoft AnyPoint Platform components.
  • Monitoring the MuleSoft AnyPoint Platform including performance, users, license management, security, and data quality.
  • Review MuleSoft AnyPoint Platform release updates, planning and executing updates.
  • Develop, design, and implement architect infrastructure/integration roadmaps.
  • Configure APIs, proxy endpoints, API portals, and API analytics based with MuleSoft API Manager.
  • Provide applications and projects with technical support for the MuleSoft AnyPoint Platform.
  • Provide guidance and technical expertise for research efforts for the MuleSoft AnyPoint Platform.

  • Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean Startup, XP) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Business Analysts)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a track record of taking solution ownership.
  • Communication skills key! Demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate with leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to articulate design and configuration choices and bring about consensus.

Education/Certifications:

  • BS degree in Information Technology or another related technical discipline
  • Certification(s) in MuleSoft (Desired)
