Game Developer – 3D Co-op Multiplayer (Remote)

This is an opportunity to develop a unique 3D co-op multiplayer PC game for Steam, focused on teamwork and innovative mechanics. The project centers around up to four players, each connected by a chain or rope, requiring close cooperation to navigate a large level filled with checkpoints. The gameplay emphasizes synchronized movement, jumping, and pulling to overcome obstacles and reach the goal. The visual style will be simple, with basic audio, and the project is fully remote with a targeted delivery timeline of 2–3 months. Reference materials, including a vision document and an example game ('Chained together' on Steam), will be provided to guide development. Deliverables

• Develop a fully functional 3D co-op multiplayer game for PC (Steam) using Unity or Unreal Engine
• Implement chain/rope mechanics connecting up to four players, ensuring smooth physics and cooperative gameplay
• Design and build one large level with checkpoints and engaging challenges
• Integrate basic audio and simple graphics consistent with the project vision
• Ensure stable online multiplayer functionality, including player synchronization and networked interactions
• Collaborate closely with the project owner to iterate on mechanics and level design
• Prepare the game for Steam deployment, including necessary packaging and documentation

Requirements

• Proven experience in 3D game development for PC platforms, ideally with shipped titles or prototypes
• Strong proficiency in Unity or Unreal Engine, with expertise in multiplayer programming and game physics
• Solid understanding of networked gameplay, player synchronization, and online co-op mechanics
• Ability to implement custom mechanics such as chain/rope physics and cooperative movement
• Experience designing levels and integrating checkpoints in a multiplayer context
• Familiarity with Steam deployment processes is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Availability to deliver the project within a 2–3 month timeframe
