Carrier WHQ – Environmental Health, Safety and Security is responsible for providing a corporate security platform to secure Carrier's physical locations, confidential information, and its employees. About this role Carrier WHQ – Environmental Health, Safety and Security is seeking an experienced Enterprise Access & Identity System Administrator (EAISA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting access and identity management systems across our enterprise platform. This includes implementing security policies, managing user access, and ensuring the integrity of our systems. The candidate should have a strong background in IT security, access management, and system administration. This is a remote role for someone based in the USA. Preference will be given to candidates located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL or Syracuse NY. Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall system, planning, evaluation, architecture & implementation of the entire Enterprise System
  • Provide technical direction and oversight across functions of the organization, i.e. Information Technology, privileged access management, authorization & authentication, security and provisioning of identity data
  • Take charge of documenting, designing and administering the EAISA infrastructure
  • Provide support to the security team and develop appropriate audit controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of applications
  • Work closely with the IT Project Managers, Human Resource Managers, system power users, security and compliance employees, application developers and other administrators in creating functional, scalable and secure applications from design and development through implementation for the business
  • Identify, evaluate and participate in decision-making around new and emerging technologies
  • Working knowledge in OnGuard, SQL Server, Windows Server, Access & Identity Management administration, installation and configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery methods in multiple computing environments Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), AWS, Web Services, LDAP, XML and SAML
  • Evaluate IT security policies, standards and procedures and make necessary changes to ensure compliance with Carrier security policy and framework
  • Research, recommend, evaluate and implement information security solutions that identify and/or protect against potential threats, and respond to security violations
  • Risk and Control Assessment, implement or coordinate remediation required by audits, and document exceptions as necessary, perform system and application vulnerability testing, participate in enterprise testing and assessment activities
  • Security Engineering, maintain network security diagrams, support information security architectural requirements and participate in information security working groups
  • Threat and Vulnerability Management, research threats and vulnerabilities and take action to mitigate threats and remediate vulnerabilities. Review, assess, and mitigate penetration tests and vulnerability assessments on information systems and infrastructure. Recommend, schedule and/or apply fixes, security patches and any other measures required in the event of a security breach. Monitor security vulnerability information from vendors and third parties. Serve as a member of the incident response team

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years plus of IT experience in the access control industry
  • 3 years plus experience in network security
  • Willing to travel globally up to 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Progressive hands-on experience in the design, architecture and administration of Identity and Access Management solutions using OnGuard Identity and Access Management suite or similar technologies
  • Utilize SQL Management tools and database script knowledge
  • Milestone video experience
  • Administration of user and role provisioning, connectors, workflow, certificate management, session management, encryption technologies, LDAP (MS Active Directory and OID)
  • Troubleshooting issues and quickly resolve them in an efficient manner that minimizes downtime
  • Project management experience with scheduling, tracking and task closures
  • Knowledge of information security principles, i.e., risk assessment and management, threat and vulnerability management, incident response, and identity and access management
  • Developing, documenting and maintaining security procedures
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN and associated network protocols and concepts (SNMP, HTTP/HTTPS, SMTP, NTP, LDAP, KERBEROS, SFTP, etc.)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to enable effective security incident and problem-resolution
  • Work under stress in emergencies, with the flexibility to handle multiple high-pressure situations simultaneously
  • Work well under minimal supervision and be a self-starter
  • Team-oriented interpersonal skills, interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles, including vendors and service providers
  • English written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer focus with the ability to manage expectations appropriately, provide a superior customer experience and build long-term relationships
