Key Responsibilities:

* Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience, engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.

  • Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service, and recommends items for sale to customers.
  • Assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
  • Recommends trade-up and/or companion items, takes customer to OTC aisle when possible to assist in locating products, and keeps counters and shelves clean and well merchandised.
  • Performs duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and verifying medicine.
  • Reports prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adheres to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.
  • Handles telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians, and processes manual claims for third-party program prescription services.
  • Assists and supports Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals.
  • Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, constructs and maintains displays, and completes resets and revisions as directed.
  • Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine, and assumes web pick-up responsibilities.
  • Assists with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance, and completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) or state required certification/registration preferred.

  • 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy or retail environment, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, patients, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Basic computer skills, with experience using pharmacy systems and software.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly and efficiently around the store.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a pharmacy or retail environment, with a strong focus on customer service.

  • PTCB certification or state required certification/registration.
  • Experience using pharmacy systems and software.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations, including prescription processing and inventory management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
