Position Summary: West Marine Pro is seeking four Seasonal Pro Customer Care Representative to service Pro Customers. The Customer Care Representative is a proactive and results-driven individual. This role is essential to delivering outstanding customer service while also identifying and capitalizing on sales opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-first attitude, and a passion for meeting and exceeding sales targets.   • Handle incoming customer calls and emails promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure a positive and high-quality customer experience through all sales interactions.
  • Place customer orders, answer customer’s inquiries, and provide accurate information about products and services.
  • Coordinates sales efforts with marketing programs; promotes product/company focuses.
  • Serves as a point of contact and assists in maintaining relationships with accounts.
  • Keeps detailed records of customer interactions and transactions by utilizing Salesforce for activity tracking.
  • Staying updated on new products, features, and industry trends.
  • Provides support to colleagues when needed

Problem Resolution:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot customer problems, offering solutions and alternatives.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate departments when necessary.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure their issues are fully resolved.

Education, Experience & Skills: Minimum education required/preferred, area of study:

  • Minimum High School or GED.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Minimum years of relevant experience preferred/required:

  • 2+ years Sales experience
  • 3+ years Customer service experience
  • Proficient knowledge of marine products and/or the marine industry required.

Additional skills/knowledge required include:

  • Strong communication, organizational and customer service skills
  • Sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word
  • Ability to foster relationships with customers.
  • Proficient in Salesforce Service or Sales Cloud preferred
