Night Dispatcher – Trucking Operations

Specialized Transportation Services, Inc is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Dispatcher to manage overnight trucking operations. This role is critical to maintaining service performance, driver support, and customer communication. We are open to both experienced dispatchers and motivated candidates willing to learn trucking operations. Key Responsibilities for Night Dispatcher Dispatch and monitor truckload shipments throughout the night Track driver progress and proactively address delays Communicate with customers regarding shipment status Coordinate with drivers, brokers, and internal staff Support billing and administrative freight documentation Ensure compliance with company safety and service standards Schedule for Night Dispatcher Sunday night through Thursday night Typically 6:00 PM – 4:00 AM Preferred Qualifications Prior trucking dispatch, logistics coordination, or fleet management experience Familiarity with dispatch software (TMW, McLeod, etc.) Experience managing time-sensitive freight Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations Also Considered Entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic and attention to detail Experience in customer service, operations, or transportation support Important Role Expectations of Night Dispatcher Fast-paced operational environment Requires independent decision-making Night shift with real-time problem solving High accountability position This is not a passive office role.
