Details: Introduction Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist position. This position is a contract hire opportunity which is expected to be Remote for an assignment duration of one year. Will be extensive travel to various client sites throughout Florida.

Summary

The Power Conversion component of PCS provides electrification systems that are critical to customers' power and energy needs for their high-performance application. Our client works with some of the world's major energy, maritime and industrial organizations, helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization, including through their specialist motors, drives and controls technologies. The Energy Storage component of PCS provides innovative energy storage systems for stationary applications. It is a fast-paced business that includes design, engineering, manufacturing, O&M and commercial organizations focused on developing and deploying energy storage products globally to their clients. Job Description:

  • Provide day-to-day EHS support for service activities and projects.
  • Support and monitor the Projects and Services operations to ensure completion of EHS Plans.
  • Conduct audits of the projects and service's teams at customer sites to ensure compliance with policies/procedures.
  • Provide immediate direct support to field service employees that work at customer sites.
  • Utilize knowledge of the discipline, analytical thinking, problem solving and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
  • Utilize internal external sources to provide resolution to any EHS issues.
  • Interface with other GEV PCS NAM EHS Team for support and guidance.
  • Responsible for obtaining clearance to access customer sites

Develop strong working relationship with operational team in his/her scope Coordinate incident investigation and ensure that investigations of accidents and compliance incidents are conducted, documented and reported as required. Details: Qualified candidates would have the following:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (with Major in Health & Safety as a desired asset) or a high school diploma with relevant experience & accredited EHS Safety Training Courses.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience supporting EHS initiatives.
  • Experience in field based EHS protocols

Ability and willingness travel at least 90% Desired

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
  • Experience of EHS program development, implementation, and leadership experience with a focus on business segments such as electric power, refining, Off shore or similar industrial sector.
  • High energy, motivation and commitment to take personal ownership of issues and drive them to exceptional outcomes.
