Job Description

As a Proactive Security Engineer on our Customer Service Security team, you'll play a critical role in protecting millions of customers' sensitive information and safeguarding our operations from potential security threats. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and address security vulnerabilities, develop and implement proactive security measures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security and integrity of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

* Identify and analyze security threats and vulnerabilities in our systems and applications

  • Develop and implement proactive security measures to prevent and mitigate potential threats
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and customer service, to ensure the security and integrity of our systems
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to ensure our systems remain secure and compliant

Essential Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with a focus on proactive security measures and threat prevention
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, regulations, and industry standards (e.g. NIST, PCI-DSS, HIPAA)
  • Experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanners
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex security issues
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field

  • Experience with cloud security platforms, such as AWS or Azure
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems
  • Certification in security engineering, such as CISSP or CEH
