As the Marketing Coordinator, Events, you will serve as a key driver of meaningful brand experiences, bringing our voice to life through well-executed, engaging events. In this role, you will coordinate and execute a wide range of events that support both external audiences—clients, prospects, and community partners—and our internal culture through HG+, our employee engagement team. You’ll plan and deliver experiences that strengthen relationships, elevate our brand, and foster connection.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and delivers high-quality events that reflect the organization’s brand, culture, and values.
  • Demonstrates ownership of the full event lifecycle, ensuring seamless execution through effective planning, coordination, and follow-through.
  • Builds strong relationships with stakeholders and partners to align goals and drive successful outcomes.
  • Creates engaging, memorable experiences with strong attention to detail while adapting to changing priorities and managing multiple initiatives.
  • Applies sound judgment in resource and budget management to deliver events within scope.
  • Uses data and feedback to evaluate effectiveness and continuously improve future events.
  • Drives the organization’s brand by ensuring consistent, clear, and impactful representation across all communications and experiences.
  • Applies brand standards thoughtfully to maintain alignment with the organization’s identity, voice, and visual guidelines.
  • Collaborates effectively to support marketing initiatives that strengthen brand awareness and audience engagement.
  • Contributes ideas to keep the brand relevant and aligned with target audiences.
  • Guides and influences others to consistently apply brand standards, reinforcing a cohesive and recognizable presence in the marketplace.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally across a variety of formats, including email, event materials, presentations, and in-person interactions.
  • Provides timely, accurate information to internal teams, vendors, and event participants.
  • Adapts communication style and level of detail to meet the needs of different audiences.
  • Demonstrates active listening and responsiveness, ensuring questions and concerns are addressed effectively.
  • Supports the creation and delivery of event-related content that is concise, engaging, and aligned with brand messaging.
  • Builds strong working relationships across teams, partnering with sales, service, and marketing colleagues to support shared goals.
  • Contributes positively to team efforts by being reliable, organized, and open to feedback.
  • Encourages collaboration by sharing ideas, asking questions, and supporting others in achieving successful outcomes.
  • Helps coordinate cross-functional efforts for events, ensuring alignment and clear roles among stakeholders.

  • Able to work in a stationary position 90% of the time.
  • Constantly able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery 90% of the time.
  • Constantly able to observe details, including letters, numbers, and colors, at close range.
  • Able to move or transport objects weighing up to 30lbs. Frequency and duration will vary.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
  • Regular travel between the Madison and Milwaukee offices and to events throughout Wisconsin is expected.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours during events, including evenings and early mornings.
