We invented Vicos as a new type of supplier, more efficient than traditional professional services firms (consultancies, system integrators, agencies etc.). On our AI- driven SaaS platform, freelance experts team up to form Vicos. AI agents integrate into these teams. The Vicos then act like real companies (e. g. consultancies or system integrators), competing successfully for large enterprise projects. Already, 100+ Vicos with thousands of freelancers work on projects for enterprise clients like BASF, Miele, Siemens or Zeiss and many SMEs. They also serve leading professional services firms as subcontractors, including Accenture, Infosys and Roland Berger. Forbes and Forrester have named Vicoland as a leading force transforming the market. Our SAP-certified platform provides the full digital infrastructure for forming and operating Vicos: marketing, finance, legal, organization – increasingly enhanced by AI agents as productive Vico members. We are scaling our go-to-market and need a leader who shapes how enterprises source professional services in the agentic era. Our offer to you As Business Development Director you combine three capabilities: strategic consulting which helps clients buy the right professional services product in the right way – that is how selling works for our product understanding AI’s role in service delivery entrepreneurial drive in building a hyper-scaling business: this is about continuously driving the perfection of our product, go-to-market, processes and tools You challenge how your clients source, deliver and scale professional services – and you show to them why the Vico model is structurally superior (when this is the case, which it most often is). You operate as a trusted advisor at C-level, translating Vicoland’s platform and AI capabilities into client-specific value scenarios. You join our leadership team with end-to-end accountability: from market shaping and first pitch to delivery oversight and long-term account growth. You supervise the Vicos serving your clients – acting as an entrepreneur leading entrepreneurs. Tasks Shape the market Position Vicoland with enterprise clients as the strategic alternative to traditional professional services models. Question established sourcing models and demonstrate why Vicos deliver better outcomes. Plan and implement mixed human / AI offers by Vicos. Develop go-to-market strategies tailored to specific client contexts. Build thought leadership through events and LinkedIn presence. Win and grow clients Develop and own a portfolio of enterprise clients and partners – from strategic outreach through close to long-term expansion. Conduct consultative, insight-driven conversations at C-level. Translate the Vico model into concrete ROI scenarios for each client. Identify cross- and upsell opportunities with a founder’s mindset. Build pipeline strategically, not only transactionally. Lead Vicos in delivery Supervise and coach Vico Leads in your client group – hold them accountable for delivery quality and commercial performance. Activate new Vico Leads and set them up for success. Step in when needed to protect client relationships. Drive AI into Business Development Integrate Vicoland’s AI and agentic capabilities into client conversations – position the Vicoland platform and Vicos as AI-first. Use AI tools actively in your own work and contribute to the evolution of AI-powered Vico members. Shape the company Contribute to Vicoland’s strategy as a member of the leadership team. Bring market intelligence, client feedback, and competitive insight into the organization. Help define how we scale – processes, tools, talent, culture. Requirements 5+ years in professional services – e. g. in consulting, system integration, or in sales roles for complex products. Consultative selling capacity: you can win complex enterprise deals by advising, not pitching. Challenger mindset: you shape how clients and the market at large think about professional services sourcing and are comfortable challenging senior stakeholders. AI-affinity: you actively use AI tools and understand the strategic implications of agentic AI for professional services. Entrepreneurial energy – you are drawn to building markets, not administering existing ones. Own entrepreneurial experience is a strong plus. Experience leading teams or practices – you have managed people, not just projects. Strong academic background, fast career progression, proven commercial impact. Fluent in German and English (DACH is our home market, while we expand internationally). Network power: you have and build valuable relationships easily.
