Collaborating Psychiatrist

Third Space Therapy combines the independence of private practice with the support of a group setting, focused on expanding Medicaid-covered behavioral healthcare. We’re looking for passionate fully licensed Psychiatrists to serve as Collaborating / Supervising Physicians for our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs). This is a flexible, primarily non-clinical role focused on oversight, collaboration, and quality assurance within a fully remote care model serving Medicaid populations. At Third Space Therapy, we offer: Complete Flexibility: Structured supervision and collaboration with minimal administrative burden Collaborative Model: Work alongside PMHNPs and therapists in an integrated behavioral health setting Cultural Influence: Help shape the culture and direction of our growing practice and play a meaningful role in our development Remote Practice Model: Enjoy the independence and flexibility of a private practice with the full support of our group environment, all from the comfort of your own home or any remote location Community Focus: Make a meaningful difference in the lives of Medicaid members by improving access to high-quality psychiatric care What you’ll need Active, unrestricted MD or DO license in Ohio Board certification in Psychiatry (ABPN or equivalent) Working knowledge of collaborative practice requirements for PMHNPs Experience treating diverse psychiatric conditions across the lifespan Comfort with telehealth models, EHR-based chart review, and remote communication tools We’re looking for providers who bring Experience supervising or collaborating with PMHNPs Strong clinical judgment across a range of psychiatric presentations and populations A genuine commitment to expanding access to high-quality psychiatric care for Medicaid member A collaborative mindset and appreciation for working within a mission-driven care team The ability to thoughtfully balance regulatory supervision requirements with meaningful clinical partnership What you'll do Provide required physician collaboration/supervision to assigned PMHNPs Conduct regular chart reviews to ensure clinical quality, appropriate prescribing, and documentation integrity Meet with PMHNPs to discuss complex cases, diagnostic questions, and treatment planning Provide real-time and asynchronous consultation on challenging or escalating patient presentations Contribute to the development of clinical protocols, prescribing guidelines, and quality improvement initiatives What’s in it for you Freedom to shape your schedule Access to a collaborative clinical community with peer support built into our model A meaningful role shaping the clinical culture and standards of a growing practice Apply To This Job
