Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Data Entry Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately entering data into various databases and systems from source documents within time limits
  • Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities, and checking the output
  • Verifying data by comparing it to source documents
  • Updating existing data and retrieving data from the database as requested
  • Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation
  • Organizing and maintaining files and records for efficient data retrieval
  • Collaborating with team members to address any discrepancies or issues with data entry
  • Maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive information

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk or similar role
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy (minimum 60 words per minute)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors
  • Proficiency in using data entry software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in data management or related fields are a plus
