Job Description

As a Customer Service Representative in our not-for-profit support team, you will be responsible for responding to incoming calls related to student inquiries, scholarship application, and funding status. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all questions are answered, callers are satisfied, and students are registered. You will work closely with families and schools to provide exceptional customer service and support.

Key Responsibilities:

* Respond to incoming calls related to student inquiries, scholarship application, and funding status

  • Provide accurate and timely information to callers
  • Ensure that all questions are answered, callers are satisfied, and students are registered
  • Work closely with families and schools to provide exceptional customer service and support
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics and quality standards

Qualifications:

* At least one year of customer service/call center experience

  • English proficiency (a language assessment will be required)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering an excellent customer service experience
  • The ability to remain empathetic, personable, and compassionate during sometimes difficult, tense situations
  • Self-motivation, detail-orientation, and the ability to multitask
  • Accurate typing and keyboard skills; comfort with PC/internet navigation

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a not-for-profit or education-related field

  • Knowledge of scholarship programs or education-related services
  • Experience working with families and schools
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
