ASW (Associate Clinical Social Worker)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) to provide mental health and supportive services in a hybrid environment serving clients in the Sacramento area. This independent contractor role combines remote telehealth services with limited in-person sessions, assessments, or meetings as needed. The ideal candidate is experienced in client-centered care, documentation, treatment planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and intake evaluations
  • Provide individual, family, or group therapy sessions
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Provide crisis intervention and case management support
  • Coordinate care with healthcare providers and community resources
  • Deliver services through telehealth and occasional in-person visits
  • Ensure compliance with California ethical and confidentiality standards
  • Maintain active ACSW registration and supervision requirements

Qualifications

  • Active ACSW registration in California
  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
  • Experience in mental health, behavioral health, or community services preferred
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently in a contractor setting
  • Reliable internet connection and secure remote workspace

Preferred Skills

  • EMR/EHR documentation experience
  • Telehealth experience
  • Crisis intervention and risk assessment
  • Bilingual abilities (Spanish preferred but not required)
