As a certified B Corp, we create 100% vegan and cruelty-free products, produced in our own climate-compensated factory in Helsingborg, Sweden. With our growing presence in North America, we are looking for a Director of Business Development – East to join our team and support continued expansion across the region. Role Overview The Director of Business Development – East will be responsible for supporting business development initiatives across the eastern United States and select regions of Canada through existing distributor partnerships. This role will work closely with distributor leadership teams, field sales teams, salons, and internal departments to support growth initiatives, salon expansion, and overall business performance throughout the territory. Key Responsibilities · Support business development initiatives across the eastern region through existing distributor partnerships. · Partner closely with distributor leadership and field sales teams to support growth initiatives and salon expansion. · Identify opportunities to increase brand presence and overall business performance within existing territories. · Build and maintain strong partnerships with distributor owners, leadership teams, DSCs, and salon partners. · Collaborate with internal sales, education, marketing, and operations teams to execute initiatives and support distributor strategies. · Analyze regional performance trends, opportunities, and competitive activity to support business planning and decision-making. · Support key salon partnership opportunities and strategic account development within distributor territories. · Represent Maria Nila at distributor meetings, industry events, educational events, and salon visits. · Support product launches, promotions, and strategic initiatives throughout the region. · Maintain strong communication and visibility with distributor and salon partners across the territory. · Travel regularly throughout the eastern United States and select regions of Canada, with travel expected to be approximately 50% or more. Qualifications · 5+ years of experience in business development, sales leadership, account management, or field leadership within the professional beauty industry. · Strong understanding of the professional salon distribution landscape. · Proven ability to support business performance through distributor partnerships. · Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills. · Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. · Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. · Experience working closely with distributor sales teams and salon partners preferred. · Ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned territory.
