Title: Sr. Kubernetes Engineer Location: Remote Clearance: Secret Eligible About this role: The Air Force Life Cycle Management/ Unified Platform is responsible for developing and sustaining a cloud-based platform that enables cyber operations across the Department of Defense (DoD). UP provides USCYBERCOM Operational Forces a Joint cyber operations infrastructure enabling full- spectrum cyberspace operations at the operational through tactical levels of warfare as part of USCYBERCOM’s Joint Cyber Warfighting Architecture (JCWA). Rackner will be working with UP to provide developer, engineering, and other resources to support the development, deployment, and maintenance of the DevSecOps Platform and Pipeline Services within the Infrastructure Value Stream. We are seeking professionals with: B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering field and 7+ years of experience contributing on a technical team for a software or IT project OR B.S. in Information Technology, IT Management, Computer Information Systems, and 10+ years of experience contributing on a technical team for a software or IT project. Active TS Clearance (SCI eligibility) 3+ years providing technical guidance to more junior team members. 2+ years leading a technical team on a software or IT project with proven performance. Open to occasional travel What will make you successful: The Kubernetes SME will work closely with the Infrastructure as Code and Site Reliability Engineer SMEs to design, build, and update platform capabilities using Kubernetes native services adhering to Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) principles. The Kubernetes SME will ensure industry best practices, along with the DoD CIO DevSecOps Reference Design, and a loosely coupled microservices-based architecture. Work to further develop, deliver, field, secure and maintain Unified Platform’s Kubernetes-based DevSecOps platform. 5+ years of experience Expert knowledge of Kubernetes GitOps and continuous deployment AWS Console and CLI DevOps CI/CD Pipelines Application containers Automated testing CKA preferred. Nice to have: M.S. in Computer Science or Engineering field and 10+ years of experience contributing on a technical team OR M.S. in IT, ITM, or CIS and 15+ years of experience contributing to on a technical team. · 5+ years providing technical guidance to more junior team members · 4+ years leading a technical team on a software or IT project with proven performance · DoD 8570/8140 IASAE Level II at contract award Who We Are: Rackner is a software consultancy that builds cloud-native solutions for startups, enterprises, and the public sector.
