The Company Empyrean Solutions specializes in financial risk and performance management solutions for banks and credit unions. Empyrean offers a comprehensive suite of software products supporting asset-liability management, budgeting and financial planning, capital stress testing, profitability, and funds transfer pricing. Our solutions empower financial institutions to manage risk, improve decision‑making, and build stable long‑term earnings. Position Summary This is a cross-product position supporting the Empyrean solution suite, working with Product Managers and Engineers within each solution team. This role will report to the Chief Product Officer. This role must own the design system and drive consistent UX across a data-dense financial platform scaling from community banks to tier-1 institutions.

Responsibilities

User Research. Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand user needs and pain points. Design Creation. Develop wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity user interfaces for web applications. Collaboration. Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align design with technical feasibility and business objectives. Usability Testing. Perform user testing and collect feedback to evaluate and refine designs, ensuring intuitiveness and effectiveness. Iteration and Refinement. Continuously improve designs based on user feedback, data analysis, and changing market needs. Design System Leadership. Owning the development and maintenance of design guidelines and reusable components and ensuring consistency across product portfolio. Post-Launch Analysis. Monitor product performance after launch, analyze key metrics, and identify areas for future improvement. Experience & Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, with B2B SaaS web applications Strong portfolio showcasing problem-solving skills and user-centric design. Extensive expertise with design (ideally Figma) and prototyping tools. Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture. Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design rationale. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experience with data-heavy interfaces and complex visualizations. Experience designing for performance (ex. lazy loading, virtualization, progressive disclosure, etc…). Experience creating and documenting design patterns that scale across products. Must be currently authorized to work in The United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Apply To This Job
