CNC Programmer/Process Engineer (Hybrid Role)
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAbout the Role A&D Precision is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Process Engineer to support efficient, high-quality machining operations. This hybrid role combines advanced CNC programming with hands-on process engineering to improve production performance, optimize machining methods, and support quoting and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
CNC Programming Program all new jobs for vertical, horizontal, and 5-axis mills using technical drawings, solid models, and customer specs Conduct test runs and operate CNC machines as needed to validate programs Provide ongoing programming support to the shop floor Troubleshoot machining and quality issues and implement solutions Optimize cutting paths and machine settings to improve cycle time and efficiency Research and recommend appropriate tooling and materials Process Engineering Develop and maintain detailed work instructions in the ERP system Support evaluation and selection of new equipment Lead process optimization for new and existing parts (fixture design, reprogramming, improvements) Review/update engineering drawings for accuracy (tolerances, engravings, alignment to production) Serve as a liaison for GD&T interpretation and customer/internal technical questions Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on tooling, fixturing, and improvement projects Participate on the internal audit team (audit execution + action planning) Maintain and organize the tooling cabinet system for production efficiency
What We're Looking For
