This role serves as the operational connective tissue between Sales, Service Delivery, Finance, Legal, and Leadership—ensuring proposals, pricing, contracts, systems, and processes work together seamlessly. The Operations Manager leads the Operations team and owns operational strategy, pricing and proposal enablement, contract and legal coordination, cross-departmental problem solving, and continuous improvement initiatives. What You’ll Do Operational Strategy & Continuous Improvement Develop, implement, and refine operational strategies that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability Serve as the primary driver for process review, documentation, and improvement across Operations and cross-functional workflows Identify operational gaps, bottlenecks, and risks, and lead initiatives to resolve them Act as a subject-matter expert and escalation point for complex operational questions Identify and lead adoption of scalable, automation‑enabled operational processes that support revenue growth without proportional increases in staffing Continuously evaluate and refine operational workflows that impact deal velocity, accuracy, and client experience Cross-Department Partnership & Enablement Serve as the primary Operations representative in bi-weekly Sales meetings and other cross-functional forums Act as the “go-to” resource for interdepartmental questions involving proposals, pricing, contracts, and process Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Service Delivery, Finance, Product, and Systems teams to identify and reduce operational friction within the client buying and onboarding experience Serve as an operational advisor to Sales leadership on deal structure, scope feasibility, and delivery considerations Participate in frequent working sessions with key stakeholders to address operational alignment and execution Proposal, Pricing & RFP Ownership Ensure proposal and RFP frameworks are standardized, scalable, and designed to reduce errors, rework, and variability across deals Act as the point of contact for pricing adjustments on proposals, partnering with leadership as needed Own continuous improvement of proposal structure, templates, and operational content to support efficient deal progression Ensure approved pricing and product changes are accurately reflected across proposals, systems, and operational workflows Participate in pricing reviews and pricing-related decision-making discussions Ensure operational frameworks remove friction from the client buying experience while maintaining delivery integrity, risk controls, and scalability to support growth. Contract & Legal Coordination Own and evolve SBS’s operational contract framework, including MSAs, NDAs, and standard agreement structures, to support efficient and consistent deal execution Coordinate legal review of contracts and custom proposals, partnering closely with SBS legal resources Review and execute client agreements via DocuSign, excluding self-initiated documents to maintain appropriate controls Ensure legal and contractual changes are accurately reflected in operational systems and downstream processes Reduce contracting cycle time and rework by ensuring proposed contractual changes are operationally viable prior to escalation or legal review Systems & Data Oversight Serve as Operations owner for CRM data accuracy related to products, pricing, and proposals Identify, troubleshoot, and coordinate resolution of CRM system errors, partnering with internal system owners Ensure operational data supports reporting, forecasting, and informed decision-making Capacity & Case Management Support Provide operational support for case overflow scenarios, helping ensure work is appropriately prioritized and addressed Actively carry and work an Operations ticket and case load as needed to support the team, modeling expected workflows and ensuring timely resolution of issues Partner with service leadership to identify and resolve capacity-related challenges impacting delivery Team Leadership & Development Lead and support the Operations team, including Operations Specialists Act as an informal team lead and mentor, providing ongoing guidance, feedback, and training support Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing Ensure effective onboarding and continued development of Operations team members QualificationsWhat You Bring Proven experience in operations management, business operations, or similar roles within a professional services environment Strong understanding of proposal development, pricing models, and contract workflows Comfort acting as a cross-functional leader and operational problem-solver Exceptional organizational, analytical, and systems-oriented thinking skills Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence across teams A track record of process improvement, system ownership, and operational execution in complex environments These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. Additional Details: This is a full-time position. This role would require occasional travel. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. On rare occasions, this position may require some after-work hours due to workload or tight deadline. Working Conditions Primarily remote-based with some travel required. The role involves working with management, various business units, and clients to protect data and information from cyber-attacks. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to sit, use keyboard and mouse (or alternative input device), use telephone, and drive. Employee will frequently lift 0-10 lbs and occasionally lift, up to 50 lbs. Travel This position requires up to 25% travel. A valid driver’s license and qualifying for SBS insurance coverage may be required for specific positions.
