Adjunct Professor - Digital Media Arts

Our client seeks a passionate and experienced Adjunct Professor to teach Digital Media Arts courses. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-campus instruction with remote preparatory and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of academic knowledge and professional industry experience to inspire and educate our diverse student body. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lectures, facilitating discussions, and guiding students through hands-on projects in areas such as graphic design, animation, video production, and web development. Responsibilities: Develop and deliver course content for Digital Media Arts, including lectures, presentations, and practical exercises. Create and grade assignments, projects, quizzes, and exams that effectively assess student learning outcomes. Provide constructive feedback to students on their creative work and technical skills. Maintain a current understanding of industry trends and incorporate them into course material. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students. Hold regular office hours (both virtual and in-person) to assist students. Collaborate with department faculty on curriculum development and program improvement initiatives. Adhere to university policies and procedures regarding course management and student assessment. Stay current with relevant software and technologies in digital media. Contribute to the academic and creative community of the department. Qualifications: Master's degree or equivalent professional experience in Digital Media, Graphic Design, Animation, Film Production, or a related field. Demonstrated expertise in core digital media disciplines (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, motion graphics software, web design tools). Previous teaching experience at the college or university level is highly preferred. Strong understanding of visual communication principles, design theory, and multimedia production techniques. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively, both in-person and online. Commitment to student success and professional development. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas or Blackboard. Portfolio showcasing professional work in digital media arts. Availability for scheduled on-campus teaching and some in-person meetings, balanced with remote work flexibility.
