Loan Closer - Support

We are looking for an experienced SBA Loan Closer to manage the documentation and coordination needed to bring commercial loan transactions to a successful close. This is a fully remote contract positions and requires a detail-focused individual who can navigate closing requirements, communicate effectively with multiple parties, and maintain accuracy throughout the process. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of loan documentation, compliance standards, and closing workflows, along with the ability to keep transactions moving efficiently from approval through funding. Responsibilities:

• Review incoming loan, title, lien, and supporting documents to confirm accuracy, completeness, and alignment with approved transaction terms before closing.
• Build and maintain detailed closing checklists, track outstanding conditions, and follow through to ensure all required items are received on time.
• Assemble and organize loan files in accordance with internal standards, regulatory expectations, and documentation requirements.
• Secure necessary loan approvals through e-Tran and prepare authorization materials that reflect the approved credit structure and conditions.
• Draft closing packages and related loan documents in LaserPro, then verify that all forms are complete, accurate, and ready for execution.
• Work closely with borrowers, escrow and title partners, and insurance contacts to coordinate timelines, resolve documentation issues, and support a smooth closing process.
• Confirm that collateral documentation is properly handled and that liens are recorded and perfected in the correct position to protect the institution’s interest.

• 3+ years of experience in loan closing, loan documentation, or a closely related lending support function.
• Strong working knowledge of closing practices, compliance expectations, and loan documentation requirements.
• Hands-on experience using e-Tran and familiarity with approval and authorization processing.
• Proficiency with LaserPro for preparing and reviewing loan documents.
• Ability to analyze title information, lien documentation, and closing conditions with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills with careful attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple transactions at once.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with clients and third-party closing partners.
• Experience with tools such as Adobe Acrobat, LexisNexis, automated underwriting systems, and bank-facing service environments is preferred.
