Foundation Description The Innovate for Vegas Foundation is a Nevada Nonprofit Corporation founded in 2022 with our purpose, To enable and encourage ideation, innovation, and implementation to make our communities better, and has maintained its 501(c)(3) public charity standing since that time to those ends. Our focus is on Civic Innovation through Civic Volunteerism, cultivating a Culture of Innovation in Greater Vegas along the way. This Foundation is the re-establishment of the original Code for Vegas organization circa 2013, pursuing similar community elevation goals through innovation in any and all areas, code and otherwise. Role Description Our Board of Directors guides our long term strategy toward meeting the purpose of our Foundation in and for Greater Vegas, and beyond. We have determined that quarterly Meetings of the Board are sufficient, with additional meetings as needed which indicates a minimum time commitment of 8 hours per year. However, the Foundation is what we make of it.

Qualifications

• As a member of our Nevada Nonprofit governance on file with the Nevada Secretary of State, members of our Board must be a minimum of 18 years of age (one of few if any other age requirements within our organization).
• Residence within the State of Nevada, or even within the United States, is not a requirement. Board Meetings are typically virtual and accommodate Directors and Schedules for maximal participation regardless of location.
• Directors are not expected to participate in Initiative activities. There are no requirements or expectations that Directors would attend project meetings or commit volunteer time, effort, and expertise to actual initiative efforts or activities, though such contribution would be welcome of course.
• Directors local to Greater Vegas would ideally find telling the story of our Foundation and its Initiatives and Goals appealing and would do so conscientiously when engaging with local individuals and organizations with adjacent and non-adjacent pursuits within and proximal to Greater Vegas.
• Directors not local to Greater Vegas would ideally share our story with other individuals and organizations for awareness and to foster distal relationships for connection, communication, and collaboration at a distance.
• Ours is not an organization with many expenses, though this may change as a part of our overall cultivation strategy forward. As we reach out to donors and sponsors, knowledge and practical experience in planned giving and annual giving, including designing and supporting campaigns that promote sustainable funding will be nice to have. Background in stewardship, with skills in donor recognition, engagement, and long-term relationship management nice to have as well.
• Most important, a commitment to our Purpose and a willingness to show up and make our Foundation better as we endeavor to make a Greater Vegas.
