Business Development Representative

North is a company focused on redefining how businesses manage cloud spend through a next-generation cloud spend management platform. They are seeking a Business Development Representative to generate top-of-funnel pipeline and engage with decision-makers in finance, engineering, and operations to drive growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own outbound prospecting across targeted accounts, industries, and customer segments
  • Identify and engage decision-makers via email, phone, and LinkedIn to introduce North's solutions
  • Research and personalize outreach at scale to maximize conversion and response rates
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads and pass high-potential opportunities to Account Executives
  • Partner closely with AEs to develop account strategy and improve pipeline quality and velocity
  • Test and iterate on messaging, sequences, and prospecting approaches to improve outreach effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate lead and activity data in the CRM
  • Provide feedback to Sales, Marketing, and leadership to help refine targeting and messaging

Skills

  • 1+ Years in Business Development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling, personalized outreach
  • High energy, resilience, and a proactive, self-starter mindset
  • Ability to quickly understand and clearly articulate complex technical solutions
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-changing environment
  • Comfortable working in a high-growth startup with high ownership and limited structure
  • Genuine interest in cloud technology, AI, and B2B SaaS markets
  • Based in New York City and excited to collaborate in-office on a hybrid schedule
  • Prior experience in sales, SDR/BDR, customer success, or outbound prospecting
  • Familiarity with cloud computing, SaaS, or FinOps concepts
  • Experience using HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, or similar CRM and sales engagement tools
  • Understanding of cloud cost management or the B2B SaaS buying process
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
