Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Front‑Line Service

  • Greet every customer with a genuine smile, offering assistance that anticipates their needs and creates a memorable shopping experience.
  • Provide courteous, accurate, and efficient checkout service, handling cash, credit, and digital payments while maintaining a fast lane for high‑traffic periods.
  • Resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly, turning challenges into opportunities for loyalty building.
  • Promote arenaflex’s loyalty programs, seasonal promotions, and health‑related services to enhance customer engagement and drive repeat business.

Pharmacy Support & Prescription Processing

  • Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision with prescription intake, data entry, and verification using arenaflex’s pharmacy management system.
  • Accurately retrieve, count, and dispense medication, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and double‑checking for potential drug interactions.
  • Perform routine prescription checks, flagging any discrepancies for pharmacist review and documenting corrective actions.
  • Handle non‑clinical phone calls—such as refill requests and physician communications—efficiently, routing them to the appropriate pharmacy staff.
  • Support inventory control tasks, including receiving, stocking, and rotating pharmaceutical products using FIFO (first‑in, first‑out) methodology.

Sales, Merchandising & Operations

  • Recommend over‑the‑counter (OTC) products, health‑related accessories, and complementary items that meet customer needs and increase basket size.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well‑stocked aisles, ensuring product displays are attractive, properly labeled, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Execute planograms, promotional set‑ups, and seasonal merchandising initiatives as directed by the store manager or shift leader.
  • Process returns, exchanges, refunds, and voids accurately, adhering to arenaflex’s loss‑prevention policies.
  • Assist with photo services, including digital passport photos, poster printing, and promotional merchandise sales, delivering a high‑quality customer experience.

Compliance, Safety & Documentation

  • Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and local regulations governing controlled substances, alcohol, and tobacco sales.
  • Follow arenaflex’s Pharmacy Code of Conduct and standard operating procedures for medication handling, labeling, and documentation.
  • Document inventory discrepancies, such as overages, shortages, damaged goods, and expired items, and communicate findings to the pharmacy manager.
  • Participate in regular audits and training sessions to stay current on regulatory changes and best practices.

Additional Duties & Team Collaboration

  • Support store upkeep by ensuring aisles, counters, and back‑room areas are tidy, safe, and well‑maintained.
  • Collaborate with fellow associates across departments to deliver seamless, cross‑functional service—especially during peak hours and special events.
  • Take on special projects or ad‑hoc tasks assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive attitude.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; additional education in health‑related fields is a plus.

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a retail, customer‑service, or pharmacy‑support role.
