Position Overview

arenaflex is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Remote Customer Service Representative specializing in Healthcare Data Management and Patient Support. This unique opportunity allows you to work remotely while making a significant impact on patient experiences and healthcare operations. As an essential member of our healthcare support team, you'll be responsible for accurate data entry, patient communication, and resolving complex healthcare-related inquiries—all while maintaining the highest standards of privacy and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Part-Time Remote Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Processing new patient enrollment using arenaflex's proprietary prescription data entry methods and guidelines
  • Meticulously entering patient and medication information into appropriate healthcare systems
  • Handling patient prescription requests in full compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Processing refill orders for timely medication fulfillment
  • Investigating to obtain missing prescription information
  • Interpreting medical abbreviations and SIG codes with precision
  • Resolving all data entry related exceptions and discrepancies
  • Managing patient communication through inbound calls, chats, and emails
  • Making outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed
  • Navigating, gathering information, making amendments, and resubmitting claims to resolve third-party exceptions
  • Contacting insurance companies and other stakeholders to obtain necessary information and approvals
  • Providing assistance to pharmacists in various locations
  • Identifying and communicating issues to senior staff members appropriately
  • Maintaining strict adherence to all arenaflex policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic computer skills including ability to start up and shut down computers, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between applications, save files, print documents, and access information online
  • Intermediate level keyboarding skills (minimum 25 WPM, touch typing, document formatting)
  • Basic internet skills including opening browsers, entering URLs correctly, using search engines, bookmarking websites, navigating with back/forward/stop buttons, and completing online forms
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any required professional license or certification within the first 90 days of employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or call center environment
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients
  • Demonstrated ability to meet quality service standards and maintain high customer satisfaction
  • Intermediate to advanced level keyboarding skills (minimum 35 WPM, touch typing, document formatting)
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
  • Familiarity with healthcare terminology and systems
  • Experience working with HIPAA-compliant systems
  • Previous remote work experience
