Key Responsibilities

  • End‑to‑End Data Engineering: Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable data solutions using best‑in‑class tools and frameworks.
  • Data Modeling & Architecture: Create logical and physical data models that support both transactional and analytical workloads while ensuring data integrity and security.
  • ETL/ELT Pipeline Management: Build and maintain high‑performance pipelines in Python, Airflow, and Spark, handling structured, semi‑structured, and unstructured data sources.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Implement automated data‑quality checks, monitoring, and remediation processes to meet SOX and internal compliance standards.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Partner with data scientists, product managers, and business analysts to translate requirements into reliable data solutions.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Coach junior engineers, lead code reviews, and champion agile development practices across the data team.
  • Performance Optimization: Conduct root‑cause analysis, tune queries, and optimize storage strategies for cost‑effective, low‑latency data access.
  • Incident Response: Provide on‑call support for critical data incidents, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal business impact.
  • Documentation & Standards: Author clear technical documentation, enforce coding standards, and contribute to the team’s knowledge base.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies (e.g., Kafka, Flink, Delta Lake) and recommend enhancements that keep arenaflex at the forefront of data engineering.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years of professional experience designing and operating large‑scale data platforms.
  • Deep expertise with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, and strong SQL query‑writing skills.
  • Hands‑on experience with data‑warehouse technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and data‑lake concepts.
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing, including libraries such as Pandas and PySpark.
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Informatica) and experience building production‑grade pipelines.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and data integration patterns.
  • Experience working with streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and real‑time processing frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to design data models that support analytics, reporting, and machine‑learning workloads.
