Our Recruiting and People Operations teams rely on data‑driven insights to attract, hire, and retain top talent worldwide. As part of our commitment to building a diverse, inclusive, and high‑performing workforce, we are expanding our remote analytics capability. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a forward‑thinking organization that values curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Why This Role Matters

Data is the lifeblood of the Recruiting function at arenaflex. By turning raw hiring metrics into actionable intelligence, we empower hiring managers, talent acquisition specialists, and senior leaders to make strategic decisions that shape the future of the company. As a Remote Data Analyst, you will be at the intersection of technology, people, and business strategy, helping to refine our talent pipelines, improve candidate experiences, and drive operational excellence across all hiring initiatives.

Role Overview

The Recruiting Analytics team sits within the broader Recruiting organization and serves as a strategic partner to multiple business units. In this entry‑level, work‑from‑home position, you will develop and maintain data models, create insightful reports, and collaborate with engineers to enhance our internal tools. Your work will directly influence how arenaflex identifies hiring trends, measures recruitment performance, and optimizes the applicant tracking system (ATS) for maximum efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Modeling & Quality Assurance: Design, build, and maintain robust data models that ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility for analysis.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Develop dashboards and visual reports using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from internal recruiting platforms, identify patterns, and surface insights that drive actionable recommendations.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, product, and talent acquisition teams to prioritize feature enhancements, troubleshoot data gaps, and implement real‑time analytics solutions.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Produce clear, user‑friendly documentation for data pipelines, reporting processes, and analytical methodologies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in CI/CD workflows, automated testing, and iterative development cycles to ensure the reliability of analytics tools.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex data findings into concise narratives for senior leadership, hiring managers, and external partners.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience or academic projects involving full‑cycle recruiting data, talent acquisition metrics, or HR analytics.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one modern query language (e.g., Python, R, or Scala).
  • Hands‑on experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience creating visualizations in Tableau, Power BI, or comparable platforms.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when presenting data to non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or work experience within a People Operations, Recruiting, or HR technology environment.
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as Greenhouse, Lever, or Workday.
  • Exposure to cloud‑based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) as they pertain to employee and candidate data.
  • Certification in data analytics or business intelligence (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex datasets, spot anomalies, and generate meaningful insights.
  • Problem‑Solving: Proactive approach to identifying gaps in data pipelines and proposing scalable solutions.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working in a remote, cross‑functional environment with engineers, product managers, and recruiters.
  • Attention to Detail: Commitment to data accuracy, thorough testing, and meticulous documentation.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑moving, evolving landscape where priorities shift based on business needs.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Focus on delivering value to internal stakeholders and enhancing the candidate experience.
