Role Overview – Senior Data Analyst (Remote, Part‑Time)

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Senior Data Analyst to join our Retail Media Trade team (known internally as the Media Trade Hub). This part‑time, remote position offers a competitive rate of $23 per hour and provides the opportunity to work on high‑impact projects that shape the future of retail advertising. You will report directly to the Director of Business Insight and collaborate with cross‑functional partners—including Product, Marketing, Campaign Management, Data Engineering, and Data Science—to extract, analyze, and visualize data that drives strategic decision‑making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Extraction & Integration: Identify, retrieve, and consolidate data from multiple internal and external sources (SQL databases, APIs, cloud storage, DMPs, DSPs, SSPs, etc.) into well‑structured datasets ready for analysis.
  • Data Visualization & Reporting: Design and maintain intuitive, interactive dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar tools that clearly communicate trends, performance metrics, and actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, campaign strategists, and engineering teams to streamline data collection pipelines, ensure data consistency, and support ad‑hoc analytical requests.
  • Data Quality Assurance & Governance: Implement rigorous quality‑control processes, conduct regular audits, and develop data‑validation scripts to maintain the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of all reporting assets.
  • Insight Generation & Recommendation: Translate complex data sets into concise business recommendations, highlighting opportunities for optimization, risk mitigation, and revenue growth.
  • Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in data workflows, propose automation solutions, and champion best practices for data stewardship across the Retail Media organization.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create clear documentation for data models, dashboard logic, and analytical methodologies to foster a culture of transparency and continuous learning.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience writing complex SQL queries and managing large‑scale relational databases.
  • At least 4 years of hands‑on experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or comparable tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading data analysis projects, from requirements gathering through delivery of actionable insights.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, Power Query) and PowerPoint for presenting findings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong analytical mindset with an obsessive attention to detail and a passion for turning raw numbers into compelling stories.

Preferred Qualifications & Nice‑to‑Have Skills

  • Experience working with the modern advertising technology stack, including DMPs, DSPs, SSPs, Google Cloud Platform, and Adobe Advertising Cloud.
  • Familiarity with cloud‑based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and ETL tools.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed, remote environment, demonstrating strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Prior exposure to retail or e‑commerce data sets, campaign performance metrics, and media attribution models.
