Role Summary We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead the development, implementation, and governance of the organization’s Risk Appetite Framework. The role focuses on translating strategic objectives into measurable risk thresholds, enabling effective decision-making, and ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and enterprise risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Appetite FrameworkDesign, maintain, and enhance the enterprise Risk Appetite Framework (RAF) Define risk appetite statements, metrics, thresholds, and key risk indicators (KRIs) Portfolio Risk OversightMonitor risk exposures across portfolios and ensure alignment with approved risk appetite Provide insights on trends, emerging risks, and potential breaches Risk Data & AnalyticsLeverage data to develop dashboards, reports, and forward-looking risk indicators Drive data quality, consistency, and governance for risk metrics Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate with business units, risk teams, and senior leadership Present risk insights and appetite performance to senior management and committees Governance & ComplianceEnsure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal policies Support audits, regulatory reviews, and internal risk assessments Continuous ImprovementEnhance frameworks using industry best practices and analytics-driven approaches Drive automation and efficiency in risk reporting processes Key Requirements 8–12 years of experience in Risk Management, preferably in Banking/Financial Services Strong understanding of Risk Appetite Frameworks and Enterprise Risk Management Experience in portfolio risk analytics, dashboards, and data-driven insights Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Knowledge of regulatory expectations (e.g., RBI / Basel guidelines) Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights Preferred Skills Expertise in risk reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Experience with large datasets and risk data governance Strategic mindset with attention to detail The leading financial institution in MENA While more than half a century old, we proudly think like a challenger, startup, and innovator in banking and finance, powered by a diverse and dynamic team who put customers first.
