Our culture is built on collaboration, continuous improvement, and a relentless focus on the consumer’s well‑being.

Role Overview – Director, Healthcare Data Management

arenaflex is seeking a visionary Director of Healthcare Data Management to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of data‑driven initiatives that support our expansive pharmacy and retail operations. This senior‑level position reports directly to senior leadership and works cross‑functionally with internal and external stakeholders—including pharmacy, retail, specialty pharmacy, payer, and pharmaceutical partners—to ensure that data products are reliable, compliant, and aligned with strategic business goals. The role is full‑time, offers both night and day shift flexibility, and carries a competitive salary of $76,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with cross‑functional teams across arenaflex—including Pharmacy, Retail, and Front‑Office Services—to identify, prioritize, and deliver enhancements to existing data products, pipelines, and analytics solutions.
  • Data Governance & Continuous Improvement: Design and champion a continuous‑improvement framework for data management, working closely with multiple lines of business to strengthen data quality, lineage, and stewardship.
  • Retail Strategy Enablement: Provide the Retail Strategy group with robust data‑driven processes and research to ensure execution aligns with corporate objectives, especially in the context of pharmaceutical manufacturer agreements.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Act as the primary Data Subject Matter Expert (SME) for internal and external data product/service clients, fostering strong partnerships with IT, analytics, and business teams.
  • Regulatory & Legal Support: Participate in or lead regulatory and contractual reviews, delivering data‑focused analysis as an SME to ensure compliance with industry standards and governmental mandates.
  • RFP & SOW Development: Contribute to Request‑for‑Proposal (RFP) responses and Statements of Work (SOW) for new contracts, leveraging deep data expertise to shape winning proposals.
  • Cross‑Industry Collaboration: Operate within a matrix environment to deliver shared responsibilities to pharmaceutical manufacturers, payer networks, and health‑system partners on data integration and related legal requirements.
  • Revenue & Profitability Oversight: Own the channel‑segment revenue and profit reporting, ensuring accurate forecasting and performance tracking.
  • Executive Communication: Build and maintain executive‑level relationships, translating arenaflex’s data strategy into clear business value for pharmacy services, store operations, and clinical programs.
  • Project Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of new data‑centric services, providing detailed project plans, communication strategies, and risk mitigation tactics.
  • Compliance & Standards Enforcement: Advocate for data‑related initiatives to guarantee that changes are identified, communicated, documented, and implemented in line with regulatory requirements and internal data governance standards.
  • Team Development: Mentor, coach, and develop a high‑performing team through direction, training, and execution of strategic projects that foster confidence, motivation, and retention.
  • Analytics Delivery: Lead the delivery and support of existing and new analytics products—including predictive models and reporting dashboards—to external partners such as pharma, payer, and health‑system collaborators.
  • IT Partnership: Work closely with the IT organization to design, test, and deploy solutions that impact current regulatory data exchange services and analytics offerings.
  • Policy Adherence: Operate within corporate policies regarding processes, programs, methodology, budgets, and compliance, ensuring that approved partner services are delivered consistently and efficiently.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions within a health‑care environment.
  • At least 2 years of direct management experience, including cross‑functional team leadership and matrixed authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions that meet business and regulatory objectives.
  • Proven track record of identifying operational challenges, recommending corrective actions, and executing process improvements.
  • Experience managing projects—planning, organizing, and controlling resources—to achieve defined outcomes on schedule and within budget.
  • Familiarity with specialty pharmacy program design and analysis is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20 % of the time for business purposes, both within and outside the state.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MS in Health Informatics) or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CPHIMS).
  • Hands‑on experience with data‑governance frameworks such as DAMA‑DMBoK, CDM, or similar.
  • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and reporting.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards (HIPAA, HITECH, FDA 21 CFR Part 11) and experience navigating compliance audits.
  • Excellent communication skills—ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for senior executives.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large‑scale data migration or integration projects involving multiple vendors.
  • Experience with cloud‑based data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and modern data‑warehousing solutions.
