Program Overview – Pathways Leadership Development

The Pathways Project‑Based Assignment is a 10‑12 week, full‑time internship designed for high‑potential MBA, MSc, MEng, or PhD candidates who are ready to tackle business‑critical challenges in arenaflex’s fulfillment, sort, and delivery network. This immersive experience places you at the heart of our operations, giving you the chance to lead large, cross‑functional teams, develop data‑driven solutions, and present your findings to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Own

  • Lead continuous‑improvement projects that enhance productivity, quality, and the overall customer experience.
  • Design, document, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) that drive consistency across shifts.
  • Set, monitor, and achieve operational goals, ensuring alignment with arenaflex’s strategic objectives.
  • Scope and develop standardized concepts for process optimization, leveraging data analytics and lean methodologies.
  • Shadow senior leaders across multiple operational functions to understand the full spectrum of managerial responsibilities.
  • Manage large, multi‑shift teams with the support of senior management, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Participate in weekly business reviews, preparing data‑rich presentations that inform decision‑making at the site level.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners—including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources—to devise and execute plans that meet business targets.
  • Deliver a final presentation that outlines an innovative, data‑backed solution to senior leadership, demonstrating both analytical rigor and practical feasibility.

A Day in the Life – Sample Schedule

While each intern’s experience will be tailored to the specific site and project, a typical day might include:

  • 08:00 – 08:30 : Morning briefing with site manager to review key performance indicators (KPIs) and set daily priorities.
  • 08:30 – 10:30 : Data collection and analysis on a targeted process bottleneck (e.g., sort throughput).
  • 10:30 – 11:00 : Quick stand‑up with cross‑functional partners to align on safety and quality considerations.
  • 11:00 – 12:30 : Draft SOP revisions and create visual workflow diagrams.
  • 12:30 – 13:30 : Lunch break – network with peers from other sites via virtual collaboration rooms.
  • 13:30 – 15:00 : Lead a shift‑wide huddle, communicating new procedures and gathering frontline feedback.

Essential Qualifications – What You Must Bring

  • Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, an MBA, MSc, MEng, or PhD program.
  • Minimum three (3) years of professional experience (excluding internships) in a STEM‑related field such as engineering, logistics, manufacturing, or data analytics.
  • Strong command of the local language (CEFR B2) for the chosen location (France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Poland, or Czech Republic) and English (CEFR B2).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects, engage cross‑functional teams, and deliver measurable results.
  • Analytical mindset with solid business judgment and the capacity to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Flexibility to work non‑traditional shift patterns, including nights and weekends, and willingness to relocate within the selected country.
  • Eligibility to work full‑time for 10‑12 weeks between June and October.

  • Professional experience in engineering, management, logistics, manufacturing, or any other STEM discipline.
