  • SCAP Development: Create and sustain Standardized Computer Aircraft Performance (SCAP) modules and interfaces, ensuring accurate performance modeling across the fleet.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with external vendors to maintain organization weight‑and‑balance (W&B) and performance models, guaranteeing data integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Manual & Procedure Oversight: Oversee the development, revision, and distribution of Flight Operations manuals and procedures, ensuring they reflect the latest industry standards and internal best practices.
  • Weight & Balance Support: Provide technical assistance for weight‑and‑balance tasks, including data verification and troubleshooting for aircraft loading configurations.
  • RNAV & Visual System Management: Develop and maintain RNAV (Area Navigation) visual systems, supporting advanced navigation capabilities for the fleet.
  • Route Database Management: Keep the organization’s route database and flight plans up to date, incorporating new procedures, airspace changes, and performance data.
  • Strategic Liaison: Partner with flight crews and engineering teams to identify opportunities for performance improvements and cost reductions.
  • Performance Analysis: Use computer‑based tools to analyze aircraft performance across all flight phases, delivering actionable insights to pilots, dispatchers, and maintenance personnel.
  • Safety Examination SME: Serve as the go‑to expert for safety examinations, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and internal safety standards.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Contribute to fuel‑efficiency programs and environmental reporting, helping arenaflex meet its carbon‑reduction targets.
  • Support Flight Planning Systems: Provide expertise to flight planning software and tools, enhancing accuracy and reliability for operational users.
  • Customer Service Modeling: Demonstrate arenaflex’s customer service standards in private interactions and provide guidance to colleagues.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned, supporting the broader mission of the Flight Operations department.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Science, or a closely related technical field.
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of hands‑on experience with aircraft performance analysis, including work on performance models, weight‑and‑balance calculations, and flight data monitoring.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and programming languages such as C#, Visual Basic, and FORTRAN.

  • Aircraft Familiarity: Knowledge of A320 and B737 family aircraft weight‑and‑balance characteristics.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience managing projects, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and delivering results on schedule.
  • Vendor Management: Experience overseeing external vendors and ensuring deliverables meet quality and compliance standards.
  • Safety Expertise: Understanding of aircraft flight envelopes and restrictions as outlined in FAA Advisory Circular 120‑27.
  • Legal Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 and able to pass a background check.
