JOB TITLE: Community Outreach Coordinator III JOB PURPOSE: Manage, develop, coordinate and implement multiple regional and statewide activities and projects for the Wyoming Center on Aging (WYCOA), including development and maintenance of strategic partnerships, program marketing, and program evaluation. The Community Outreach Coordinator, III is responsible for coordinating the activities of WyCOA grants and contracts and works closely with Center on Aging leadership to ensure all grant/contract deliverables are met. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and present outreach programs/services for targeted groups, such as training workshops, conferences, and school or community presentations; assess program needs, organize program materials; evaluate program success. Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with agencies and organizations interested in specified programs or services. Develop and conduct in-service training which includes program design and delivery. Develop marketing plans and publicity materials for distribution to target audience. Develop budgets and maintain financial records related to a specific activity, project, or service. Develop and maintain database and/or website related to a specific activity, project, or service. Act as project manager in planning and coordinating activities to support a specific program. Research, prepare, and/or write grants, applications, and fundraising proposals to sources at local, state, and national levels. Conduct research for an activity, program or service and write articles and reports and develop strategies and avenues to disseminate information and research. May supervise professional and technical staff in implementing programs, objectives, and goals. SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS: Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Participate in performance-related goal setting and achievement to meet personal and organizational goals and objectives. Attend and participate in training and other personal professional development activities. COMPETENCIES: Individual Leadership Collaboration Formal Presentation Skills Work Prioritization &Management Initiative MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field Experience: 4 years progressively responsible work-related experience. Experience must include at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent. Required licensure, certification, registration, or other requirements: Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: Aging, healthcare, social services, and/or chronic disease prevention and management programs Project planning, leadership, and supervision theory, methods and practices Community outreach entities and support organizations Assessment and data analysis techniques, methods, and practices Request for proposal techniques and methods Special events planning methods and techniques Departmental computer technologies including system requirements, functions, upgrades, additions, and new hardware and software developments Skills and Abilities to: Apply problem-solving techniques and professional judgement in complex, confidential and sensitive situations Access, establish, and maintain a network of community agencies for resources and referral purposes Work effectively with faculty, staff, students, families, and other customers from different backgrounds Adhere to high standards of integrity, confidentiality, and honesty Work as a team member and foster a cooperative team environment Develop future and oversee current activities of aging and chronic disease prevention and management programs Assess department needs and develop new or enhance existing programs Understand, interpret, and implement Federal, State, and University policies and procedures Organize and promote special events REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS: Complete the online application.
