Rausch Sturm LLP is seeking a Litigation Assistant to support their legal operations. The role involves managing electronic files, preparing trial folders, and processing legal documents, ensuring efficient workflow within the legal team.

Responsibilities

  • Updates electronic files
  • Handles phone calls, on occasion, from Court System
  • Assists with preparation of trial/hearing folders
  • Assists with preparation of pleadings and correspondence
  • Processes mail daily and ensures all information received is updated properly in the collection software system
  • Scans, copies, prints, and redacts legal documents
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Skills

  • Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent) with a preference for some college education and/or paralegal studies
  • Prefer one to three years of experience and a familiarity with legal terminology; however, will provide on the job training
  • Experience in the Microsoft Suite of products is required
  • Being results driven and customer focused are requirements of the position
  • Having the ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple work assignments
  • Strong attention to detail while producing high-quality work result is critical
  • Regular attendance in the office is required as an essential function of the position
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Frequently required to talk or hear, and use hand to type, handle, or touch objects
  • Regularly required to stand and walk, and may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds at times
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
