Position Overview

arenaflex is hiring full-time Remote Inbound Customer Service Representatives to support one of our high-profile clients in the power and energy sector. In this role, you will handle a steady flow of inbound calls from residential customers, assisting them with essential services such as power outage reporting, payment processing, account management, and service start or termination requests. Beyond traditional customer support, you will also have the opportunity to offer valuable add-on products and services—including surge protection plans, home wiring coverage, and water heater repair programs—on eligible calls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Interaction: Handle a high volume of inbound calls from customers on behalf of our prominent power company client, delivering professional, courteous, and effective support on every interaction.
  • Issue Resolution: Assist customers with a wide range of account-related needs, including reporting power outages, processing payments, setting up payment plans, and initiating or terminating service.
  • Upselling and Cross-Selling: Proactively identify opportunities to offer additional products and services—such as surge protection, home wiring coverage, and water heater repair programs—to eligible customers during each call.
  • Data Entry and System Navigation: Accurately enter customer information, update account records, and navigate multiple software platforms simultaneously while maintaining active, engaging conversations with customers.
  • Goal Achievement: Meet or exceed established performance metrics related to call handling time, customer satisfaction scores, sales targets, and quality standards.
  • Compliance and Quality: Adhere to all company policies, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and accuracy.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and coaching opportunities to continuously improve your performance and contribute to the success of the broader team.
  • Storm Response: Be available for mandatory overtime during severe weather events or storm-related outages that impact our client's customers, ensuring critical support is delivered when it matters most.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for the Remote Inbound Customer Service Representative position at arenaflex, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience: At least one year of verifiable, recent experience working as an inbound customer service agent in a call center or similar high-volume environment.
  • Upselling or Cross-Selling Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in a role that included an upselling or cross-selling component, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals. You must be able to share specific results and achievements during the interview process.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, professionally, and empathetically over the phone.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable navigating multiple computer screens, entering data accurately, and learning new software systems quickly.
  • Self-Discipline: Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage your time effectively, and stay focused and productive throughout your shift.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Home Office Setup: Must have a dedicated, distraction-free home office space with high-speed internet access. This will be verified during the interview via camera on an online meeting platform.

Work Schedule and Environment

This is a full-time, remote position with a set schedule assigned at the time of hire. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time. You will work 40 hours per week, with shifts typically consisting of either 8-hour or 10-hour daytime blocks. No weekend work is required, allowing you to enjoy your evenings and weekends. However, mandatory overtime may be necessary during major storm events that affect our client's customers.

arenaflex provides all the equipment you need to perform your role successfully, including a computer, headset, and any necessary software. All you need to provide is a reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace free from distractions.

Compensation and Benefits

arenaflex is committed to offering competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that supports your financial, physical, and professional well-being. Here's what you can expect:

  • Competitive Pay: Starting base pay of $14.00 per hour, with the opportunity to earn up to $17.00 per hour or more when you factor in performance-based bonuses and commissions. Annualized earnings potential ranges from $29,120 to $35,000 in your first year, depending on performance.
  • Daily Pay Access: Through our partnership with Payactiv, you can access a portion of your earned wages within just two days of completing your shift. This benefit gives you greater flexibility and control over your earnings, with no gimmicks or hidden fees—simply a portion of your pay made available when you need it.
