Position Overview

The External Support Engineer is the first line of assistance for external content creation teams that rely on arenaflex’s proprietary toolset. You will troubleshoot technical challenges, create clear documentation, and collaborate closely with both the content partners and the internal tools engineering team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals eager to launch a career in technical support, software tooling, and cross‑functional collaboration within a fast‑moving entertainment technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support & Issue Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for external teams encountering difficulties with arenaflex’s content tools. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems promptly.
  • Documentation & Training: Develop comprehensive reference guides, video tutorials, and live training sessions to accelerate onboarding of new external partners onto the arenaflex toolset.
  • Debugging & Workflow Optimization: Identify root causes of tool failures, reproduce bugs, and work with engineering to implement fixes that improve reliability and performance.
  • Escalation Management: Route complex or high‑impact issues to the tools development team, track progress in arenaflex’s issue‑tracking system, and ensure transparent communication with stakeholders.
  • Advocacy & Feedback Loop: Gather constructive feedback from external partners, champion their suggestions, and influence the product roadmap to enhance tool usability.
  • Cross‑Disciplinary Collaboration: Partner with software engineers, product managers, and quality assurance specialists to design and refine tools that streamline content creation workflows.
  • Feature Development Participation: Contribute to the ideation, design, and delivery of new features, guiding concepts from initial brainstorming through to production release.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, OR equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting live services, SaaS platforms, or complex software tools in a production environment.
  • Familiarity with arenaflex’s game and tool development platform (formerly known as Unity 3D) and an understanding of how interactive media pipelines operate.
  • Hands‑on exposure to mobile development environments for arenaflex’s iOS and Android platforms, including building, testing, and debugging applications.
  • Proficiency using arenaflex’s issue‑tracking and documentation systems (formerly Jira and Confluence) to log, prioritize, and communicate defects.
  • At least 5 years of experience delivering production‑level code, or an equivalent combination of education and practical project work.
