Position Overview – Data Entry Team Lead (Call Support & Customer Assistance)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail‑oriented Data Entry Team Lead to join our Ohio distribution center. This full‑time role operates Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm EST, and offers a competitive hourly rate of $32 plus a comprehensive benefits package. As the bridge between the Operations Manager, the department supervisors, and the front‑line associates, you will champion operational excellence, nurture a high‑performing team, and ensure that every piece of data is captured accurately and communicated efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Guide, motivate, and support a team of data entry associates, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and mutual respect.
  • Operational Oversight: Assist the Department Manager and Supervisors in day‑to‑day operations, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and meet established performance metrics.
  • Data Accuracy & Communication: Verify, enter, and transmit data with precision; communicate critical information clearly across shifts to maintain seamless workflow.
  • Resource Allocation: Distribute work assignments strategically to balance workload, meet productivity targets, and address any bottlenecks.
  • Problem Identification & Resolution: Utilize reports, dashboards, and system alerts to pinpoint issues that may hinder associate performance; develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Staffing Coordination: Meet daily with the Operations Manager and Supervisors to assess staffing needs, schedule adjustments, and task prioritization.
  • Training & Development: Conduct onboarding, ongoing training, and performance evaluations; track attendance and performance records to identify growth opportunities.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce safe work practices, ensure adherence to all operational policies, and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in process‑enhancement initiatives, share best practices, and contribute ideas that drive efficiency and quality.
  • Ad‑hoc Projects: Support the Manager on special projects, pilot programs, or any additional duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and calculate with high accuracy.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and courteously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Solid experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and general computer literacy.
  • Strong leadership qualities, critical‑thinking ability, and the capacity to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to work beyond a standard 40‑hour week when business needs require.
  • Commitment to punctuality, reliability, and adherence to all safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Prior experience in a distribution center or similar high‑volume environment.
  • Associate degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with data‑entry best practices, quality‑control procedures, and performance‑tracking tools.
  • Experience leading a team of 10+ associates in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Exposure to continuous‑improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors and maintain data integrity under tight deadlines.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Build strong relationships with peers, supervisors, and cross‑functional partners.
  • Organizational Ability: Manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and keep the team on track.
  • Problem‑Solving: Analyze data trends, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Technology Savvy: Comfortable navigating multiple software platforms and learning new systems quickly.
  • Coaching Mindset: Passion for developing others, providing constructive feedback, and celebrating successes.
