Why This Role Matters – The Impact of Data Entry at arenaflex

Data entry is far more than typing information into a spreadsheet. At arenaflex, it is a critical component of a sophisticated, high‑throughput data pipeline that fuels AI‑driven personalization, real‑time analytics, and global content distribution. Your work will directly influence the quality of recommendations, the reliability of streaming services, and the overall satisfaction of millions of users worldwide.

We are looking for detail‑oriented, self‑motivated professionals who thrive in a remote environment and are eager to contribute to a world‑class data platform. Whether you are an emerging talent or an experienced data operations specialist, you will find a supportive community, continuous learning opportunities, and a clear path for career advancement.

Role Overview – What You’ll Do Every Day

As a Remote Data Entry Specialist on the arenaflex Data Platform, you will be part of a distributed team that builds, maintains, and optimizes data ingestion and validation processes. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and quality assurance partners to ensure that data flowing through our systems is accurate, timely, and compliant with internal standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter, validate, and reconcile large volumes of content metadata, licensing information, and user interaction logs across multiple sources.
  • Perform quality checks on incoming data sets, flagging inconsistencies, duplicates, or missing fields for remediation.
  • Collaborate with the Data Access Platform team to design and refine data ingestion APIs that support sub‑millisecond latency requirements.
  • Maintain and update data dictionaries, schema definitions, and documentation to ensure alignment with evolving business needs.
  • Assist in the development of automated validation scripts using Python, SQL, or other scripting languages to reduce manual effort.
  • Participate in cross‑functional sprint planning, providing estimates and status updates for data‑related tasks.
  • Support the Large Data Figure team by preparing data extracts for analytics, machine learning pipelines, and reporting dashboards.
  • Engage with open‑source communities when appropriate, contributing improvements or bug fixes that benefit arenaflex’s internal tools.
  • Provide timely responses to internal stakeholders regarding data quality issues, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal impact on downstream services.
  • Continuously monitor data pipelines for performance bottlenecks and suggest optimizations to improve throughput and reliability.

Essential Qualifications – What We Require

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in high‑volume data entry, data validation, or data operations within a technology‑focused environment.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for data manipulation (e.g., Java, Python, or Scala).
  • Hands‑on experience with relational databases (SQL) and familiarity with NoSQL technologies such as Redis, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and maintain data pipelines that handle petabyte‑scale workloads.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot data anomalies and propose corrective actions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Self‑discipline and time‑management skills required to thrive in a fully remote work setting.

Preferred Qualifications – Nice‑to‑Have Extras

  • Experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, or Spark.
  • Familiarity with cloud‑native data platforms (e.g., AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Data Lake) and query engines like Presto/Trino, Druid, or Iceberg.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data lineage, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Previous involvement in open‑source projects or contributions to internal tooling libraries.
  • Exposure to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Experience working in agile environments with Scrum or Kanban methodologies.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to spot subtle data inconsistencies that could cascade into larger system issues.
  • Problem‑Solving: Strong logical reasoning to diagnose root causes and implement effective fixes.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable partnering with engineers, product owners, and QA teams across time zones.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑moving environment where priorities shift based on business needs.
