What You'll Do: Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, no two days will be exactly alike — and that's part of what makes this role so rewarding. Your primary responsibility will be engaging directly with customers who contact us for a wide variety of reasons, ranging from helping them shop for a new pet, recommending the perfect chew toy for a power-chewing Labrador, or troubleshooting when something doesn't quite go as planned with an order. You'll be a versatile problem-solver, a knowledgeable guide, and a trusted partner in the customer journey.

  • Direct Customer Engagement: Handle inbound calls, chats, and other customer interactions with confidence, warmth, and professionalism. Every conversation is an opportunity to create a memorable experience.

What You'll Need: Essential Qualifications

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Customer Service Experience: A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a professional setting — whether that be retail, call center, hospitality, or another customer-facing role.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and listening skills. You'll complete a written assessment as part of the application process to showcase your communication abilities.
  • Multitasking Ability: The capacity to maintain a phone conversation while navigating multiple computer systems, taking accurate notes, and delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer Proficiency: Comfort and skill in using computers for data entry, rapid system navigation, and efficient internet research to support customer inquiries.
  • Adaptability: The ability to embrace change and flex with the evolving needs of the business. The pet industry moves fast, and we move with it.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to shift schedules and work overtime as business needs require.
  • Confidentiality: A proven track record of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information securely.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Background Check: Must be able to successfully pass a background check.

Technical Requirements for Remote Work:

Since this is a fully remote position, you'll need to ensure your home office setup meets specific technical and environmental standards:

  • Dedicated Work Area: Your work area must be large enough to accommodate dual computer monitors and free from distractions, including background noise that could impact the customer experience.
  • Webcam-Friendly Environment: Your work area must be acceptable for webcam use, as virtual collaboration is a key part of our culture.
  • High-Speed Internet: You must have a reliable wired, high-speed internet and broadband connection with a minimum of 30 Mbps download speed and 10 Mbps upload speed. You can verify your speeds at speedtest.net or by contacting your service provider.
  • Equipment Provided: arenaflex will provide your computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, and webcam. You bring the high-speed internet; we bring everything else.
  • Two-Factor Authentication: A phone line is not required, but you must have a cell phone or tablet capable of supporting two-factor authentication through Okta Verify. Options include a smartphone or tablet with the Okta mobile app, or a cell phone that can receive SMS messages and phone calls.
  • Florida Residency: You must reside within the state of Florida to be eligible for this role.
