Why This Role Matters

Data is the lifeblood of any airline. From flight schedules and crew rosters to passenger manifests and maintenance logs, accurate information ensures that every flight departs on time, every customer receives the service they expect, and every regulatory requirement is met. As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding this information, enabling our teams to make informed decisions quickly and confidently.

Key Responsibilities

Data Entry & Maintenance

  • Precisely input and update a wide variety of data sets—including flight itineraries, crew assignments, inventory records, and customer feedback—into arenaflex’s proprietary databases and cloud‑based platforms.
  • Validate data for completeness, consistency, and accuracy before final submission, adhering to established data quality standards.
  • Perform routine audits to identify and correct discrepancies, ensuring that the information remains reliable for downstream processes.

Documentation & Record Keeping

  • Maintain organized, searchable records of all processed information, following arenaflex’s documentation protocols.
  • Assist in the creation of data‑related documentation, such as standard operating procedures, data dictionaries, and user guides.
  • Support the archiving of historical data in compliance with industry regulations and internal retention policies.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner closely with cross‑functional teams—including Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and IT—to resolve data‑related queries and provide timely support.
  • Participate in virtual meetings and collaborative platforms to share insights, flag potential data issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide clear, concise updates to supervisors and stakeholders regarding data entry progress, challenges, and resolutions.

Quality Assurance & Process Improvement

  • Conduct systematic data quality checks, employing tools and scripts to detect anomalies, duplicates, or missing fields.
  • Document and report quality findings, recommending corrective actions and process enhancements.
  • Engage in ongoing training sessions and knowledge‑sharing forums to stay current with best practices in data management and remote work efficiency.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional data entry experience, preferably within a fast‑paced, regulated industry such as aviation, logistics, or finance.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to work with data entry software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, proprietary arenaflex platforms) and familiarity with remote collaboration tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom.
  • Accuracy: Proven track record of achieving a 99.9% accuracy rate in data entry tasks.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet strict deadlines, and maintain productivity in a remote environment.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to convey complex information clearly and courteously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Data Management, such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or similar.
  • Experience with data validation tools, scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBA), or database management systems (e.g., SQL).
  • Previous remote work experience, demonstrating self‑discipline and effective home‑office setup.
  • Knowledge of aviation terminology and regulatory frameworks (e.g., IATA, FAA) is a distinct advantage.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision in handling large volumes of data, with an innate ability to spot errors before they propagate.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data trends, recognize patterns, and suggest improvements.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating evolving processes, new software tools, and shifting priorities.
  • Team Orientation: Collaborative mindset that values input from diverse departments and contributes to a supportive remote culture.
