[Remote] Sr. UX Designer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. VisioLab is an AI-powered self-checkout company headquartered in Osnabrück with a US office in Boston. They are seeking a Senior UX Designer to create intuitive interfaces for high-pressure environments, ensuring a seamless user experience in stadiums and high-volume venues.

Responsibilities

• Help us figure out what's worth building - challenge product assumptions and advocate for user needs before solutions are defined
• Own the end-to-end user experience across VisioLab's product suite
• Design interfaces for high-speed, high-stakes environments - where clarity is everything
• Conduct user research in the field: observe real users in real venues, not just in interviews
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and ML to translate complexity into simplicity
• Build and maintain a scalable design system that accelerates development
• Prototype rapidly, test with real users, and iterate based on data and observation

Skills

• 4+ years in UX/UI design, with experience on complex, data-rich, or real-time products
• Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design for challenging environments
• Proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping tools
• Experience with design systems and component-based design thinking
• Real product judgment - you push back early, ask hard questions, and know that the best design decisions often happen before anyone opens Figma
• Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
• A hands-on, low-ego approach - you design, test, learn, and redesign
• Fluent in English
• German is a plus
