[Remote] Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. GENNTE Technologies is seeking a Data Engineer with strong expertise in modern data technologies. The role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines within a Lakehouse architecture environment, requiring hands-on experience with Azure cloud technologies and data governance.
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize large-scale data pipelines and data integration workflows
- Ensure data quality, reliability, scalability, and performance
- Collaborate with architects and analysts to support reporting and analytics initiatives
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance pipeline efficiency in an Agile environment
Skills
- 5+ years of Data Engineering experience with a strong focus on Databricks
- Expertise in Apache Spark, Remotara Lake, Databricks Lakehouse Architecture, Python, PySpark, and SQL
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable)
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, CDC, SCD Type 1 & Type 2, data modeling, and analytics enablement
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-native architectures
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
