Expert Technical Project Manager

About the position Leads construction, engineering, remediation or other technical projects from inception to closeout utilizing project management tools and methodologies to managing the scope, schedule and cost. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland based on business needs. . The assigned work location is flexible within the PG&E Service Territory. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. A reasonable salary range is: Bay Area Minimum: $122,000 Bay Area Maximum: $194,000 OR California Minimum: $116,000 California Maximum: $184,000

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope and objectives
  • establish project team with agreed upon roles and responsibilities
  • obtain commitment on detailed work plans including schedule, cost, resources, contingency and communication plans
  • obtain management approval as needed
  • ensure project documentation is maintained
  • identify, analyze, and address project performance issues
  • manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables
  • communicate project status to all stakeholders
  • assess project risk and develop contingency plans
  • identify and communicate lessons learned and best practices.

Requirements

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience in engineering, construction management, or the appropriate technical discipline
  • Job-related experience, 8 years
  • PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 10 years
  • Experience as Project Manager, 6 years
  • CA Class C License, or equivalent
  • PE-Professional Engineer license
