Role Description This is a part-time, on-site/remote role located in Crown Point, IN, for a Level 1 Technician. The Level 1 Technician will perform a range of IT support duties, including troubleshooting technical issues, resolving hardware and software problems, setting up and configuring workstations, and maintaining IT systems. The position also involves collaborating with team members to monitor and manage client networks and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Qualifications

  • Basic IT support skills, including troubleshooting hardware and software problems and experience with workstation setup and configuration
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and other network hardware
  • Understanding of security protocols, threat detection, and prevention strategies
  • Strong communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks with attention to detail
  • An associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent are a plus
  • Prior experience in an MSP or IT service environment is an advantage
