Adjunct Instructor, Exceptional Student Education (Key West Campus)
Overview:
The College of the Florida Keys is seeking an adjunct professor to teach a course or courses in the Bachelor of Science, Exceptional Student Education program. This position will teach one to three 3-credit courses at the Key West campus.
Responsibilities:
• Prepares, instructs, and grades all coursework and ensures the use of appropriate testing and grading procedures.
- Effectively uses oral and written communication skills.
- Maintains regularly scheduled hours to provide instruction for assigned class meeting times, dates, and locations.
- Maintain records of student attendance.
- Maintains timely compliance with clerical and administrative responsibilities.
- Keeps current in the programs being taught.
- Assists in College recruitment and retention efforts, as appropriate.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Exceptional Student Education required or Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Exceptional Student Education OR Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, Education, Early Childhood or Education with 18 graduate credits in Special Education or Exceptional Student Education.
- Prior teaching experience in higher education is preferred.
- Experience using Canvas preferred.
- Understanding of, and commitment to, Equal Access/Equal Opportunity.

- Knowledge of College mission, policies, procedures, and services.
- Proficient in the use of technology.
Benefits:
