About the Role: Remote Healthcare Customer Experience Associate
As a Healthcare Customer Experience Associate at arenaflex, you will handle a high volume of inbound telehealth phone calls and email inquiries on behalf of our clients. You will become a knowledgeable resource for patients seeking help with insurance verifications, benefits education, billing questions, prescription concerns, and a variety of technical issues—including real-time support during time-sensitive healthcare situations. Key Responsibilities
- Handle a steady volume of incoming calls and email inquiries from patients, caregivers, and healthcare consumers in a professional, courteous, and empathetic manner.
- Provide accurate information regarding insurance verifications, benefit coverage, billing explanations, and patient responsibility.
- Assist patients with prescription-related inquiries, including pharmacy coordination and order status questions.
- Deliver real-time technical support for telehealth platform issues, including login challenges, password resets, and troubleshooting mobile and desktop applications.
- Support patients in transitioning between appointment types, such as switching from a phone visit to a video visit when necessary.
- Navigate multiple systems simultaneously to research, document, and resolve patient inquiries in a timely manner.
- Document all interactions accurately within internal systems to ensure continuity of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Escalate complex or sensitive issues to appropriate teams while maintaining ownership of the customer experience.
- Meet or exceed established performance metrics related to call quality, customer satisfaction, and resolution times.
- Maintain punctuality, dependability, and consistent attendance to support team and client success.
- Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development opportunities to continuously improve skills.

- “I see an authorization charge on my credit card after scheduling a visit—can you help me understand what this is for?”
- “I’m at the pharmacy to pick up my prescription, but they don’t have it in their system. Was it sent?”
- “I can’t sign into my account and I’m not receiving a password reset email. Can you help me regain access?”
- “I tried to schedule a phone visit but was never reached by a provider. Can I switch to a video visit instead?”
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent college degree.
- Ability to successfully complete a three-week, fully virtual training program—attendance is required every day, and no missed sessions are permitted.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection (hard-wired ethernet required; Wi-Fi is not permitted for this role).
- A dedicated, distraction-free home workspace suitable for handling sensitive healthcare calls.
- Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute with 96% accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and compassionately.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Proven ability to effectively multi-task across multiple systems and applications.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as our client operations run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
- Successful completion of a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior customer service experience in a call center, healthcare, or related environment (training will be provided, so this is a plus, not a requirement).
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic health records, or healthcare insurance terminology.
- Experience working remotely or in a virtual team environment.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a strong plus.
