What You Will Do

As a Work-From-Home Customer Experience Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a key role in delivering the outstanding service our customers have come to expect. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the first point of contact: Answer inbound calls from customers between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM daily, with extended hours up to 10:00 PM expected during our peak season from Thanksgiving through Christmas.
  • Processing orders accurately: Place customer orders, process payments securely, and ensure that every transaction meets PCI compliance standards.
  • Answering product and service questions: Provide knowledgeable, friendly, and timely responses to a variety of customer inquiries, helping each person feel valued and supported.
  • Maintaining brand standards: Represent arenaflex with professionalism, warmth, and enthusiasm in every customer interaction.
  • Adapting to new systems: Learn and navigate multiple internal platforms quickly, demonstrating agility and comfort with technology.
  • Upholding security protocols: Protect sensitive customer information by strictly following Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards and company security policies.
  • Contributing to team culture: Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and continuous learning opportunities to grow professionally.

What We Are Looking For

arenaflex is searching for individuals who bring both skill and heart to their work. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities and qualifications:

Essential Qualifications

  • A genuine interest in providing excellent customer service and helping others.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport over the phone.
  • The ability to learn new systems, software, and tools quickly.
  • A quiet, dedicated workspace within your Maine home that is free from noise and distractions.
  • Residency in Maine, with a home office located within the state.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 24 hours per week, including Mondays and Tuesdays (our busiest days) and at least one weekend day.
  • Existing phone service (cell phone or landline) for emergency backup purposes.
  • The ability to pick up equipment at our Freeport Campus if your home office is within a two-hour drive.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior customer service, retail, or call center experience (remote experience is a plus).
  • Familiarity with VoIP systems, MS Teams, or similar communication platforms.
  • A passion for the outdoors and an appreciation for the lifestyle arenaflex represents.
  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a bonus, but not required.

Technical Requirements for Your Home Office

To ensure the best possible experience for our customers and to maintain PCI compliance, arenaflex Home Agents must meet specific technical and workspace standards. You will be asked to submit photos of your home office setup for approval. Here is what you will need:

Hardware

  • A personal computer (desktop or laptop; Chromebooks are not compatible).
  • A webcam installed and functional for MS Teams video calls and assessments.
  • A separate USB headset with a microphone for clear communication.
  • A monitor that is at least 17 inches (a 24-inch monitor is preferred).
  • A full-size keyboard with a number pad and a mouse with a scroll wheel (separate keyboard and mouse required if using a laptop).
  • A power strip surge protector to safeguard your equipment.

Operating System

  • Windows: Windows 10 or above (Windows S mode is not compatible).
  • Mac: macOS Monterey 12.6.8, macOS Ventura 13.5.1, or macOS Sonoma 14.5.
  • Minimum 8 GB of RAM; 16 GB preferred for optimal performance.

Internet and Network

  • Minimum broadband speeds: 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
  • A wired connection to your modem/router is required for the arenaflex-provided IP phone.
  • Satellite internet service is not permitted due to inconsistent service levels.
  • Your modem must have an available port for the phone connection and be located within 10 feet of your workspace.

Workspace

  • A dedicated, quiet room or area that is free from background noise, household interruptions, and visual distractions.
  • A desk and chair that support good ergonomics and allow you to work comfortably for extended periods.
  • A workspace that ensures customer information cannot be viewed or overheard by third parties.
