In this remote role, you will partner with cross‑functional teams—including arenaflex CRM, Infrastructure, Architecture, Release Management, Application Security, and Business Product Owners—to modernize legacy workflows, build resilient distributed systems, and deliver seamless experiences for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Build Scalable Systems: Architect, develop, and maintain distributed services that handle high transaction volumes with sub‑second latency.
  • Product Definition: Translate business goals into technical specifications, ensuring solutions are both feasible and future‑proof.
  • Full‑Lifecycle Collaboration: Participate in every stage of the software lifecycle—from requirements gathering and design workshops to testing, deployment, and post‑release monitoring.
  • Leadership in Design Sessions: Lead architecture reviews, design discussions, and code‑review sessions to elevate engineering standards across arenaflex.
  • Reusable Component Creation: Define and champion reusable patterns, libraries, and services that accelerate development across multiple product lines.
  • Tooling & Cloud Services: Leverage arenaflex‑provided developer tooling and cloud platforms (arenaflex, arenaflex, arenaflex) to streamline CI/CD, infrastructure‑as‑code, and real‑time communication.
  • Mentorship: Coach junior engineers, share best practices, and foster a culture of knowledge sharing.
  • Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks, propose automation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across teams.

Essential Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience with at least two modern languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python, C#) and strong object‑oriented design skills.
  • 3+ years designing and implementing architecture for new and existing systems, emphasizing reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • 3+ years hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (arenaflex, arenaflex, arenaflex) and associated services such as serverless functions, container orchestration, and managed databases.
  • 2+ years working with open‑source frameworks and libraries, contributing to community‑driven projects when appropriate.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain RESTful and SOAP web services, as well as experience with enterprise integration middleware (e.g., Apache Camel, Spring, Spring Boot).
  • Strong communication skills, with a track record of leading technical discussions and presenting solutions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code, automated testing, and monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Expertise

  • Experience with arenaflex standard objects, custom object creation, validation rules, and relationship modeling.
  • Familiarity with arenaflex flow builders, process automation, and Apex‑style scripting (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of modern front‑end frameworks such as Flutter, React, or similar UI libraries.
  • Hands‑on experience with relational databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle) and query optimization techniques.
  • Exposure to event‑driven architectures and message‑bus frameworks for real‑time data processing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience is also valued.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Depth: Mastery of Java (or equivalent) for building enterprise‑grade services, with the ability to quickly adopt additional languages as project needs evolve.
  • System Thinking: Ability to see the big picture, understand inter‑service dependencies, and design for fault tolerance.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working in a matrixed environment, influencing peers, and building consensus across diverse functional groups.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical mindset, capable of diagnosing complex production issues and delivering robust fixes under pressure.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑paced, startup‑like atmosphere where priorities shift and new challenges emerge daily.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
